Wilma E. Martin, 90 of Washington died, Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Washington Care Center.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 AM Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Harold Gruber officiating. Burial will be in the Crawfordsville Cemetery. Visitation will begin Noon Sunday with family receiving friends from 2-4:00 PM in the afternoon. A general memorial fund in the name of Wilma E. Martin has been established.
Wilma was born October 31, 1916 in Brighton, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Phianna (Hopkins) Messenger. She graduated from Washington High School and was united in marriage to John Arnold Morrison. He died unexpectedly in a hunting accident. She later married Paul Martin February 10, 1949 in Washington.
Wilma was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She was employed at the American Pearl Button Factory, the Snack Shack and the Frontier Restaurant. She enjoyed fishing, traveling south in the winter and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Paul of Washington, children, Nancy Wagenknecht and husband Robert of Littleton, CO, John Morrison and wife Kathy of Letts, IA, Evelyn Zahn and husband Mark of St. Louis, MO, Randy Martin of Washington and Rhonda Plant and husband Jeff of Tucson, AZ; sister Osie Arduser of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters and her first husband John Arnold Morrison.
