Willis “Burl” Lamm, 80, of Keosauqua , died Thursday, January 8, 2004 at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
Funeral Services have been set for 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 12, 2004 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Larry Wagner officiating. Burial will be at the Forest Home Cemetery. Open visitation will be Sunday from 1-5:00 with family receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Monday. A memorial in the name of Willis “Burl” Lamm has been established.
Willis was born March 29, 1923 in rural Van Buren County the son of Jesse and Beulah (Stonehouse) Lamm. He was united in marriage to Helen Maxine Lee on January 30, 1944 at Kahoka, MO.
Willis served during WWII with the Army in France and Germany. He farmed and was employed at Champion Spark Plug where he retired from in 1986. He enjoyed bird watching, gardening and being with the family.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce McIntosh and husband William of Keosauqua, Patti Cole and husband John of Mt. Pleasant and Darla Meyer and husband Ralph of Burlington; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister.
