William Freyenberger

A celebration of life for William "Bill" F. Freyenberger, 98 of Wayland, will be held Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Eicher Emmanuel Mennonite Church in rural Wayland with Pastor Larry Evers officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eicher Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Saturday, June 8 from 2-5 PM at the Eicher Emmanual Mennonite Church.  A memorial fund has been established for the church.  William F. Freyenberger died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.  The Beatty Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

William F. Freyenberger was born May 15, 1915 in Henry County, Iowa the son of Elmer J. And Emma (Oswald) Freyenberger.  He was united in marriage to Julia Zieglowsky on September 1, 1938 at the St. Paul Evangelical Church in Washington.  Bill farmed all of his life and was a member of the Eicher Emmanuel Mennonite Church where he served as a trustee for many years.  He was a founding board member of the Parkview Home Board and also the Wayland Livestock Board.  Bill loved farming, attending his grandchildren's sporting events and homemade ice cream.

Suriviors include two daughters and spouses; Evelyn (Ralph) Rubey of Stockport, Iowa, Doris (Dean) Aicher of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, one son and wife; Jim (Denise) Freyenberger of Wayland, Iowa, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and three sisters; Myrtle Gardner of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Ruth Graber of Wayland, Iowa and Ina Mae (Orlin) Eigsti of Hesston, Kansas.

Preceding Bill in death were his parents, his wife Julia, two brothers; Robert and Edward Freyenberger, one granddaughter; Teresa Lynn Rubey and one great grandson; Lucas Rodibaugh.
