Willard Leroy Reschly, 84 of Washington, died Friday, October 31, 2008 at his home in Washington.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00PM Tuesday, November 4, 2009 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Nathan Luitjens officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Monday with family present from 5-7PM.
Willard was born September 25, 1924 in the Wayland area the son of Harry and Fannie (Conrad) Reschly. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School and was united in marriage to Leona Dusenberry, March 16, 1946 in Iowa City.
Willard was a farmer until he retired and served as a handyman at the Presbyterian Home in Washington.
Survivors include his wife Leona of Washington, three children and spouses, Linda and husband William Simmons of Washington, Lonnie and wife Terri Reschly of Indianola, IA., Terry Reschly of Littleton, CO, seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, seven siblings and spouses, Marion (Opal) Reschly of Crawfordsville, Kathryn Lehman of Winona Lake, IN., Elsie (Stanley) Burkholder of Washington, Orlin Reschly of West Chester, IA., Raymond (Wava) Reschly of Kalona, Benjamin (Marge) Reschly of Goshen, IN., and Vernon (Laura) Reschly of Nowada, OK.
Preceding Willard in death were his parents, two sons, Ronnie and Larry Reschly, one sister, Vera Buchanan and one grandson Shannon Reschly.
