Wayne Emery Harvey, 68, of Salem, IA died Friday, January 09, 2004 at his home in Salem.
Funeral Services have been set 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Jeffrey Crawford officiating. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Monday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 in the evening. Memorials in the name of Wayne Harvey have been established to Calvary Baptist Church or the family.
Wayne was born June 11, 1935 in Harvey, Iowa the son of Wade Chester and Welthie Beatrice (Pearson) Harvey. He graduated from Fairfield High School and Bob Jones University and Flagstaff University where in majored in music. He was united in marriage to Earnestine Lucile Septer on September 1, 1968 at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and Great River Railroad Club. He was employed in the parts department for twenty-eight years at Mc Whirter Chevrolet and retired from the The Company. He enjoyed model railroading and Old Threshers.
Survivors include his wife of Salem; son Christopher Harvey of Salem; two brothers, Wallace Harvey of Corydon, IA and Wendell Harvey and wife Delores of Monrovia, CA; sister Winifred Larson and husband Clair of Fullerton, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
