Walter John Koehler, 91 of Washington, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Washington Care Center in Washington following declining health.
Family and friends may gather for the Graveside Service at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington with Pastor Gene Carpenter officiating. Open visitation will be from Noon till the time of the service at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington.
Walter was born October 22, 1916 in Washington Co. Iowa the son of George E. and Mary (McCartney) Koehler.
He lived most of his life on the family farm, helping care for his mother after the death of his father.
Survivors include brothers, Marshall Koehler and wife Velda of Crawfordsville, IA and Robert Koehler and wife Donna of Washington, also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Carl and George T.
