Susan Yoder

A celebration of life for Susan H. Yoder, 58 of Wellman will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 at 1:00PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  Visitation will be held Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 1-4PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  A memorial fund has been established for Paws and More Animal Shelter in Washington.  Susan Yoder died suddenly April 25, 2012 from complications of Parkinson's disease and a brain tumor.

Susan was born May 12, 1953 in Leavenworth, KS, the daughter of John G. and Kathleen Boyer.  She graduated from high school in Leavenworth and went on to earn a degree.  She enjoyed collecting peace bears, working with her dogs and watching cooking shows.   Susan had also participated in dog shows with her Labrador Retrievers.

Survivors include her husband Hal Yoder of Wellman, two sons, Dylan (Kelly) McGuire of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Joseph (Robyn) McGuire of Savannah, GA, one step son, Adam (Gayle) Cole of Wellman, IA, four grandsons, Gunnar, Odin, Maddox and Padraic McGuire, one step granddaughter, Alexandria Cole, one brother, John Boyer, Jr. of Kansas and her father, John Boyer, Sr. of Leavenworth, KS.

Preceding Susan in death were her mother and one stepson, Michael Broadaway.
