Stanley Fredrick Mangold, 94 of West Chester, formally of the Dublin area, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at his daughters home in West Chester following a short illness.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Andrew Zuehlke officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 till 6:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home with family present from 4-6:00 PM in the afternoon. A memorial in the name of Stanley Fredrick Mangold has been established to Hospice of Washington Co.
Stanley was born January 8, 1914 in the Dublin, IA community the son of Howard James and Lillie (Hutt) Mangold. He was united in marriage to Betty Elizabeth McCartney on March 13, 1940 in Sigourney, IA.
He was a lifelong resident of the Dublin area, farming in the area for almost 50 years.
Survivors include children William Mangold and wife Connie of Sperry, Iowa, Richard Mangold and wife Linda of Washington and Kay Christner of West Chester; Sister Twila Speed of Washington; ten grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty January 24, 2008; two brothers Wayne and Lee, and sister Verna Crone.
