Shirley Janice Webster Miller was born May 5, 1928, the daughter of Harley & Nellie Webster. As a child & young adult, she lived in Roanoke, Va. Shirley married Grover L. Miller. To their union was born 3 sons Marc, Chris & Craig. In 1954, the family moved to Tampa Fl. The Miller family was active in the Baptist Church, where Shirley organized & taught Child Evangelism Classes. After her children were in school, Shirley attended the University of South Florida and obtained her Masters degrees in Education & Media Sciences. Shirley worked in the Public School system and later as a Principal for a Christian Academy. She left that position to assist her husband & sons in operating a Food Brokerage that covered the state of Fl. In 1978, Shirley survived an automobile accident that took the life of her beloved Grover. She later married Glenn Eichelberger, and they lived in Tennessee raising cattle until they retired & moved to Alabama. Her beloved Glenn passed away in 1991 as a result of cancer. In 2000, Shirley moved to Wellman to be near Marc & Grace Shirley loved her children and her grandchildren, telling them stories by the hour. She enjoyed china painting, her cat "Nellie" and writing letters to her friends. Shirley was happy at her Silver Pond apartment and enjoyed talking with the companions who assisted her. She shared with everyone about her faith in her Lord Jesus. Shirley looked forward to moving to her eternal home in heaven. She passed peacefully at her home, Tuesday, October 12, 2010. At her request, there was no local funeral. Shirley was buried October 13, 2010 with family attending a graveside service. She had requested no flowers. A Memorial Service will be held with her extended family & friends in Florida at a later date. Survivors include her sons & spouses; Marc (Grace) Miller, Kalona, Ia; Chris Miller, Dothan, Al; Craig (Cathy) Miller, Valrico, Fl. ; Eight grandchildren, Justyn Miller, Jonathan Miller, Charity Miller, Tanya Davis, Chris Miller II, Eliana Miller, Meagan Leonard, & Grant Miller; Six great-grandchildren, Maxx & Michael Miller: Rachel, Phoebe & Jacob Davis; and Allie Leonard. Preceding Shirley in death are her parents and both husbands.
