Sheila Daugherty

A celebration of life for Sheila M. Daugherty,  64 of Washington, will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Bob Spilger officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  Visitation will be held from 2 – 4PM, Sunday, September 28 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington.  A memorial fund has been established for Washington County Hospice.  Sheila Daugherty, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at her home in Washington.

Sheila May (Jones) Daugherty was born July 2, 1950 in Fairfield, Iowa the daughter of Donald and Verla (Gray) Jones. On October 21, 1966 she was united in marriage to Donald Daugherty in Mt. Sterling, IA.  She worked in various jobs including Sieferts Central Office, as a waitress at The Frontier, at the Washington Cleaners and ResCare.  Sheila enjoyed cooking, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Donald of Washington, two children; Andy (Deb) of Mt. Sterling, IA, Angela (Tocho) of Washington, IA, nine grandchildren, two great grandchilren, two sisters; Sherry (Greg) Britton of
Keosauqua , IA, and Susan Hunt of Montrose, IA, and special friend Karen Estrada of Washington, IA.

Preceding Sheila in death were her parents and one brother, Arlen Jones.
