Shawndell Brandon Stockstell, 27 of Washington died at his home Thursday, August 10, 2006.
A Celebration of Shawndell’s life will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Jonathon Eslinger officiating. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Following the service his body will be cremated. A general memorial in the name of Shawndell Brandon Stockstell has been established.
Shawndell was born August 19, 1978 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Timothy Leonard Stockstell and Brenda Sue Nash.
He attended Washington Schools and was employed in construction and specialized in working with concrete. He enjoyed spending time with family, camping and listening to music.
Survivors include son Justin Ray Stockstell and daughter Madison Stockstell, both of Washington State; mother Brenda Nash of Wellman; maternal grandfather Herb Nash of Washington and fraternal grandparents Ray Stockstell and wife Marjorie of Williamsburg, IA; three brothers, Troy Nash and wife Kelly of Wellman, Aaron Stockstell of Iowa City and Brennan Stockstell of Springfield, MA; sisters Marjorie Nash of Iowa City and Amanda Stockstell and friend Robert Creamer of Iowa City; three nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Timothy, June 8, 2002 and maternal grandmother Marjorie Nash.
