Russell Leon Zook Sr. 64 of Haskins, died Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital.
His body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be 1:30 PM Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Fr. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Family will receive friends from Noon Saturday until service time. A general memorial in the name of Russell Leon Zook Sr. has been established.
Russell was born May 17, 1944 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Floyd A. and Arvilla (Snyder) Zook.
He resided in Haskins for most of his life and was an independent truck driver.
Survivors include children, Rusty Zook and wife Angie of Riverside, Dustin Zook of Iowa City, Micsannie Zook of New London, IA and Rustin Allen of Ell Dorado, KS; one sister Jane Dietl of Council Bluffs, IA; three grandchildren Jessica, Barb and Courtney.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald.
