Roger Philip Hyndman, 56 of Swedesburg, died Thursday, October 28, 2004 at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City.
A Celebration of Roger’s life will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Gerry Klopfenstein officiating. Military honors will be presented by the V.F.W. Post 2561, American Legion Post 58 & AMVETS 44. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the Funeral Home. A general memorial in the name of Roger Philip Hyndman has been established.
Roger was born March 15, 1948 in Portland, OR the son of John and Leota (Holburt) Hyndman. He graduated from La Crescenda High School and attended college. He was united in marriage to Belinda Collins, August 8, 1987 in Canoga Park CA.
He was in the U.S. Navy for ten years and the Iowa National Guard for four. Roger was a police officer, private investigator and was a deputy sheriff for Washington County in the late 70’s.
Survivors include his wife Belinda of Swedesburg; parents John and Leota of Apple Valley, CA; ten children, Jennifer, Melissa, Roger Jr., Mary, Thomas, Katie, Samantha, Philip, Bethany and Kenneth; sister Ginger McKee of New York and thirteen grandchildren.
