Robert Teets

A celebration of life for Robert E. (Bob) Teets, 77, of Wellman will be held Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.  A memorial fund for the family's use has been established.  Bob Teets died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his daughter's home in rural Washington.

Robert Eugene Teets was born May 27, 1937 in Wellman, Iowa the son of Donald and Dorothy (Blum) Teets.  He was united in marriage to Margaret  Jean Bailey in Ontario, California on Febrary 5, 1958.  Bob worked at Kalona Skelly for 10 years and at Yoder Feeds for 20 years as a mechanic, superviser and in security.  He then worked for the Mid Prairie School system.  He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Marg of Wellman, daughter Janice (Jeff) Aggson of Wellman, son Danny (Janet) Teets of Iowa City, son Jerry (Linda) Teets of Kalona, daughter Deana (Chris) Canny of Washington, 23 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, one sister, Donna Teets of Washington and one brother, Dave (Margi) Teets of Kalona.

Preceding Bob in death were his parents, a nephew Mike Teets, and cousins Tommy and Eddy Davies.
