Robert Falls

Robert (Doc) Falls 71 of Hills, IA passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City, IA.

Mass of Christian Resurrection for Robert “Doc” Falls will be at 9:30 am Friday, December 15, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hills, Iowa.

A time of visitation and rosary will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hills.

Visitation for Robert Falls in Lake Villa, IL. Will be Saturday, December 16 at the Ringa Funeral Home in Lake Villa, IL from 10:00 a. m. until noon with burial and military honors to follow in the Milburn Cemetery.

Bob was born February 12, 1946 in Iowa City, IA.  He was the son of R. Burt and Elizabeth Nelle (Doty) Falls. He served in the United States Navy from 1966 till 1993.  He also earned a degree from George Washington University.

He was united in marriage to Gyla Faye Fox on July 6, 1970.  She preceded him in death and he was married to Eileen Jenn on December 31, 2016.

Bob enjoyed many things of life: loved flowers, playing cards, the Cubs and was a  Hawkeye  fan.

Surviving him is his wife, Eileen, of Hills, his sons: Richard (Nancy) Falls of Antioch, IL, Rick (Kelly) Falls of Kenosha, WI, and stepchildren Tina (Matthew) Riggan of Tiffin, Andrea (Todd) Chambers of Tiffin, Joseph (Tabitha) Allen of Wellman, and Curtis Allen of Tiffin.

Also surviving are a brother Tom (Pat) Falls of Burlington, IA, two sisters Janet Cramer of Coralville, IA, Nancy (George) Pagnucco of Hudson, WI.,11 grandchildren: Breanna, Hayden, Hunter, Morgan, Richard, Ryan, Hailee, Hannah, Samantha, Mallory and Caitlin and eight step-grandchildren: Ryann, Claire, Grant, Tate Riggan, Amanda, Tasha, Cory, Colton Allen, one great-grandson: Miles and his mother-in-law Rita Jenn of Hills.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Gyla Faye, his parents, son Robert Wayne and his father-in-law Joe Jenn.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Hills Community Center.
