Richard L. Damon, 64 of Aiken, South Carolina formally of Washington, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Pepper Hill Nursing Care following a lengthy illness.
His body has been cremated and will be interred at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL at a later date. Beatty Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with arrangements.
Richard was born August 10, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Golden Leal and Violet May (Le Fever) Damon.
He graduated from Washington High School in 1960 and served in Army during the Viet Nam Conflict.
Survivors include his son Antonia Damon of Kaiserstantren, Germany and daughter Maritza Damon of Warrenville, SC and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
