Reighard L. “Rick” Fields, 70, of Washington, died Friday, January 4, 2019 at his home in Washington. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11 AM at Prairie Flower Baptist Church with Pastor David Cotner officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 5 – 8 PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. A memorial fund has been established for Prairie Flower Baptist Church.
Reighard Lee Fields was born November 2, 1948 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Robert Wesley and Mary Maxene (Reighard) Fields, Jr. He graduated from high school and enlisted in the United State Navy, serving two tours in Vietnam. On August 31, 1993 he was united in marriage to Jessica Lloyd, the couple later divorced. Rick was a truck driver for Florilli Transport in West Liberty before becoming disabled. He was a member of Prairie Flower Baptist Church where he was active in several Bible studies. Rick enjoyed conversation, technology, spending time with family and talking about his savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include six children: Tyson Fields, Nathan Fields, Kali, Robert Fields, Alexander Fields, and Dylan Fields, a number of grandchildren, his ex-wife Jessica (Ray) Cooper and four siblings: Vicki Fields-Simmons, Scott Fields, Robert Fields III, and Jodi Lamerko.
Preceding Rick in death were his parents.
