She was the precious daughter of Marie (LeBlanc) Nevins and stepdaughter of Don Nevins, formerly from near Redfield, Iowa, and now residing near Wayland, Iowa. She was born July 5, 1979, in New Orleans, LA. At birth, Becky was the daughter of Gordon Pilet, now living in Tampa, Florida with wife, Cary. She was married to Justin Johnson, and they later divorced.
Becky is survived by her parents, beloved children, Jared (and wife, Renny) Johnson of Juction City, Kansas, Rei-Lynn Johnson and Ryan Johnson, both of Brandon, Florida, her dear grandchild, Noeli Johnson, and her cherished siblings, John (Kyla) Nevins of Wayland, Iowa, Mitchell (Ashley) Nevins of Oceanside, California, Claire (Jason) Chambers of Spring Hill, Florida, Johanna (Josh) Nevins-Freeman of Tuscon, Arizona, Josiah (Sklylar) Nevins of Gray, Louisiana, Tyler Pilet and Juliette Pilet, both of Tampa, Florida. Becky also leaves behind fifteen nieces and nephews, whom she loved to spoil, many aunts, uncles, cousins, special friend Daniel Gormley, and a multitude of friends who will all miss her tremendously.
Becky was a faithful mother’s helper from a young age, and, when she became a mother herself, she was devoted to her children, communicating to them continuously her endless and unconditional love for them. She shared her love of the simple joys of country life in many ways, as in baking and frosting sugar cookies during the holidays, just as she did as a child growing up with her family. She was also committed to broadening her children’s horizons by exposing them to a wide variety of experiences, including touring battlefields, attending musicals, visiting zoos, and exploring parks, both in America and in Japan.
Becky made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Savior when she was 9 years old. This vital step, combined with her characteristic spirit of selfless giving, greatly contributed to the success of her family and prepared her for her life’s work. After earning an associate degree, a double-major bachelor's degree, and a master's degree, she directed her psychology and business educational background toward helping others. At Interventions, Inc., which Becky described as her life ministry, she devoted her extensive training and many life experiences toward helping troubled people, especially women, learn to overcome addictive and destructive behaviors. Her legacy will continue in the future success stories of the life-restoring work at Interventions, Inc.
