Phillip D. Brunk, 57 of West Chester, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at the Washington County Hospital.
Funeral Services have been set for 11:00 AM Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Burial with Military honors will be at the West Chester Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Wednesday at the Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 in the evening. A general memorial has been established in the name of Phillip Brunk.
Phillip was born December 3, 1948 in Ottumwa, Iowa the son of Herbert and Avis Rose (Stirts) Brunk. He graduated from Washington High School and served in Viet Nam with the Navy. On July 20, 1974 he was united in marriage to Carla Yoder at the Methodist Church in Washington.
Phillip was a truck driver for Heartland trucking and for the last fifteen years drove for Crete Carriers. He also previously worked at Northrup King and Perfex. He enjoyed antique shopping, remodeling and general handiwork.
Survivors include his wife Carla of West Chester, Father Herbert of Washington, children Ryan Brunk of Washington and Betsy Brunk of West Chester; brother Ron Brunk of Eaton, OK; two grandchildren Morgan and Ella.
He was preceded in death by his mother Avis September 27, 2001.
