A celebration of life service for Peter P. Graber, Jr., 82, of Crawfordsville, will be held Friday, March 13 at 10:30 AM at Eicher Mennonite Church in rural Wayland with Pastor Dave Schooley officiating. Burial will follow at the Eicher Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, from 5 – 7 PM at the Eicher Mennonite Church. A memorial fund has been established for Eicher Mennonite Church and Eicher Mennonite Cemetery. Peter P. Graber, Jr. died Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.
Peter Paul Graber, Jr. was born January 2, 1933 in Crawfordsville, IA, the son of Peter and Magdalena (Wenger) Graber. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School. On March 1, 1952 he was united in marriage to Wanda Hall at Spring Run Church. Peter farmed all of his life and was an active member of the Eicher Mennonite Church, where he held various leadership roles through the years. He enjoyed farming and planting trees.
Survivors include his wife Wanda of Crawfordsville, one son, Eric (Lori) Graber of Crawfordsville, three granddaughters: Desiree (David) Mathews of Crawford, TX, Martina (Clark) Cully of Falls Church, VA, Britney Graber of Upland, IN, three great grandchildren: Deyton and Kiele Mathews and Reeva Cully, two brothers: Erwen Graber of Mound Ridge, Kansas, Cal (Jean) Graber of Goshen, IN, and one sister, Lucille Shewmake of Dade City, Florida.
Preceding Peter in death were his parents, two brothers: LaVerne and Daniel and two sisters: Verena and Ann.
