Peggy Ann Lambert, 67 of Mt. Pleasant died Thursday, April 1, 2004 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Hank Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Mills Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Monday at the Funeral Home with family present from 6-8:00 in the evening. Memorials in the name of Peggy Ann Lambert may be designated to the Christamore Home or the Oakland Mills Cemetery.
Peggy was born February 10, 1937 in Burlington, Vermont the daughter of Charles and Kathleen (Baker) Turnbaugh. She graduated from Burlington, Vermont High School in 1956 and was united in marriage to John Dale Lambert on September 27, 1957 in Burlington Vermont. They later divorced.
She moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1979 and enjoyed working at the Christamore House as a youth care worker for four years. She enjoyed walking her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Daryl Lambert and wife Elizabeth of Mt. Pleasant, John Lambert and wife Sandy of Ft. Madison and J.C. Lambert and wife Tabitha of Mt. Pleasant; daughter Kelley Whaley and husband John of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers Charles and Robert of Vermont; five sisters Nancy, Diane, Cathy, Debbie of Vermont and Betty of Maryland; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Pearl and Sandy.
The family especially Thanks Hank, Don, Martha, Lisa and Lori.
