Pauline Basinger

Pauline K. Basinger, 93 of Washington, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Halcyon House following declining health.

Memorial Services have been set for 2:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Beatty Funeral Home with Al Kruse officiating. Her body has been cremated and interment will be at a later date at the Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Washington Public Library.

Pauline was born March 5, 1917 in Manitowoc, WI the daughter of George Mendlik and Alvie (Barta) Fechter. She graduated from Manitowoc High School in 1935 attended University of Wisconsin for 2 years and Prospect Hall in Milwaukee for 2 years. She was united in marriage to Carl B. Basinger January 20, 1949 at Zion Mennonite Church in Donnelson, IA

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington and Washington Rotary. She was employed as a property office manager in Milwaukee, moving to Washington in 2004.

Survivors include son Paul Basinger and wife Peggy of Washington; brother George William Fechter of Winter Park, FL and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Carl March 5, 1972.
