Paul Reynolds

Paul G. Reynolds, 86 of Washington, died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Halycon House in Washington.

Funeral services have been set for 10:30 AM Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Fern Cliff Evangilical Free Church. Burial will follow in the Fern Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Sunday with the family present from 2-4:00 PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Memorials in the name of Paul G. Reynolds may be designated to the Gideons or Lending Hands.

Paul Glen Reynolds was born November 22, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Glen and Rose (Johnson) Reynolds. He graduated from East High School and enrolled in various U. S. Navy training programs around the U.S. After the Navy he began employment with Burroughs Corporation as a field engineer for 21 Years. During 14 of those years, he was based out of Ottumwa. In June of 1968 Paul began employment with the National Bank of Washington, now U S Bank. While at the bank he was in operations for 11 years, in loans for three years and for 16 years he was the bank's senior's club director as well as customer service representative and assisted in the bank's security progam.
He was united marriage to Joann Loutzenhiser on April 8, 1950 in Des Moines at the Covenet Church. Paul was a member of the Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church and played the piano for services for 30 years. He was a charter member of the Washington Optimist Club and he enjoyed hunting, photography, playing the piano and was a member of the Washington Model Railroad Club.

Survivors include his wife Joann of Washington, two sons, Ron Reynolds of Washington, and Brian Reynolds of Auroroa, Colorado, one sister, Doris (Wendell) Murrow of Des Moines, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Paul in death were his parents and two brothers, Robert and Richard Reynolds.
