Paul A. Miller, 89, of Wayland, died Friday, February 3, 2006 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church near Wayland with Pastor Nathan Luitjens officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Family visitation will begin at Noon Monday at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 in the evening. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is assisting with arrangements. A general Memorial in the name of Paul Miller has been established.
Paul was born June 2, 1916 near Wayland to Amasa & Katie (Reschly) Miller. He married Frances Alliman, September 15, 1940. She preceded him in death Jan. 21, 1997. He was later married to Jeanne (Eiffert )Long from 2000 till 2005.
Mr. Miller was a faithful member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, where he taught Sunday school for many years. He farmed for most of his life and later worked at the Sale Barn. He enjoyed hunting and traveling.
Survivors include four children, Ronald Miller of Kendallville, IN, Kenneth Miller and wife Janice of Escondido, CA, Diane Hess and husband Donald of Willow Street, PA, and Duncan Miller of Kirksville, MO.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Lenore Miller of Wayland and brother, Orval Miller and wife Alberta of Wayland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Leona Leichty, Susan Troyer, Vera Schlatter, and Ruth Greiser; and 3 brothers, Orie Miller, Mahlon Miller and Melvin Miller.
