Paul Frank

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Paul F. Frank, 92, of Iowa City, will be held Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City with Father Gary Beckman officiating. The family will greet friends from 10 – 11AM at the church. A memorial fund has been established for St. Wenceslaus Church. Paul Frank died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. The Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting Paul's family

Paul Fredrick Frank was born September 28, 1925 in Riverside, Iowa, the son of Fred and Leona (Mottet) Frank. He served his country in the United States Army. Paul was united in marriage to Mary Kiefer on October 23, 1948 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and was an avid hunter. Paul loved spending time with his family, including his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary.

Survivors include his wife Mary of Iowa City, four children: Linda (Don) Shalla of Riverside, Thomas (Christy) Frank of McFarland, WI., Sally Frank of Iowa City, Deb (Bill) Brandt of Iowa City, nine grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Preceding Paul in death were his parents, four sisters: Zelda Gerot, Ceola Gerot, Freda Kron and Anita Sojka, one brother Robert "Jake" Frank and a great-granddaughter Kiefer Grout.
