Patricia Ann Davison, age 73, of Kalona, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at her residence following a courageous battle against bile duct cancer.
Celebration of life services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 10:30AM at Shiloh Church in Kalona with Pastor Craig Haworth officiating. Inurnment will take place at Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. A memorial fund has been established for the Shiloh dining room construction.
Patricia was born March 3, 1939, in Wayland, Iowa the daughter of Lyle and Lola Bower. She graduated from Wayland High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart James Lee Davison on June 7, 1957 in Washington at the Christian Tabernacle.
Patricia and James resided in Des Moines, Williamsburg, and Sigourney before moving to a farm in Washington in 1964. Patricia was a homemaker and worked with her husband in his business Davison Painting and Papering. In 2002 they moved to Kalona, Iowa.
Patricia was a member of Shiloh Church in Kalona, Iowa. She enjoyed volunteering for the church, entertaining others in their home, spending time with her family and deeply loved her grandchildren whom brought much delight to her heart.
She is survived by her husband James L. Davison of Kalona, IA; son Kevin Hargrave and wife Aline, grandchildren, Kane and Larissa of North Hills, CA; son Curtis Davison and wife Eun Hi of Shanghai, China; daughter, Carmela Ulin and husband Tom, grandchildren, Jordan and Mikayla of Wellman, IA; and son Kent Davison and fiancAC. Stacie Sojka, grandchild Xander of St. Louis, MO. Also surviving Patricia are her siblings Mary (Don) McCormick of Wellman, IA, Virginia Lindsay of Columbus, GA; Jimmy (Jackie) Bower of Washington, IA and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Patricia in death were her parents.
