Orval D. Roth, 86 0f Wayland, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 AM Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Wayland Mennonite Church with Pastors Gerry Klopfenstein and Pam Unruh officiating. Burial will be in the North Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Friday at the Wayland Mennonite Church with family receiving friends from 6-7:30 PM. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is assisting with arrangements. Memorials may be made in the name of Orval D. Roth to the fish aquarium at the Parkview Home.
Orval was born November 4, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa the son of Peter J. and Lydia (Orendorff) Roth. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Pauline Rukgaber, February 20, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant.
He was a member of the Wayland Mennonite Church, farmed and drove a truck for Sinn Trucking for many years. He also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn of Wayland, children Shirley Wandling and husband Charles of Mt. Pleasant and Kenneth Roth and wife Teresa of Urbandale, IA; sister Gladys Widmer of Wayland and two grandsons Dallas Kyle and Justin Roth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lloyd, Clarence, Milton and Allen and sister Alma.
