Yoder Visitation: Sunday June 28 3-6 PM Peterseim Funeral Home, Kalona Interment: Sharon Hill Cemetery,Kalona Ollie Hershberger age 92 died Thursday,June 25, at Pleasantview Home, Kalona. Ollie Marie Brenneman Hershberger was born near Wellman in Iowa County,Iowa. She was the daughter of Erlis and Martha Marner Brenneman. She attended rural schools in the area. Ollie and Clyde Hershberger were united in marriage on September 18,1938, in the West Union Mennonite Church. The couple lived and farmed in the area and also lived in Iowa City until moving to Kalona. Ollie was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and friends. Ollie is survived by her children; Cecil Hershberger of Muscatine, Elaine Cole of Kalona, Bea Knepp of Kalona, Herb and Deny Hershberger of Wooster, Ohio, Larry and Marilyn Hershberger of Wayland and Linda and Sonny Cole of Carthage, Illinois. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, Tom Hershberger, Tim Hershberger, Michael Haley, Steve Cole, Randy Knepp, Lynn Knepp, Brad Knepp, Ryan Knepp, Tony Haley and Joshua Hershberger, Sonny Cole and grand daughers, Tina Welker, Deona Wares, Michelle Browning, Julie Hangartner, Tracy Nelson, Darla Trijo, Jina Almquist, Jody Schudel, Carmen Williams, Candice Hershberger, and Tara Hershberger,Jan Hampton,Sandy Cole, Deb Davis, 59 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren, two brothers; Dayle and wife Leah Brenneman of Upland,CA and Merle and wife Marcia Brenneman of Janesville, WS, and five sisters, Wilma Yoder of Wellman, Iona Swartzendruber , Leta Mae Schneider, Arlene and husband John Snyder all of Kalona and Lucine and husband Ted Morrison of West Branch. Ollie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde ( April 26, 2007)five grandchildren, Robert Haley, Diane Knepp, Eddie Knepp,Tonya Hershberger, and Robert Cole, Jr., three sons-in-law,Robert Haley, Robert Cole, Sr., adn Ed Knepp,and two brothers, Glenn Brenneman adn Marlin Brenneman. A memorial fund for the Kalona Mennonite Church or Pleasantview Home has been established in Ollie's honor. The family is very appreciative of the many kindnesses extended them during this time of loss. Your support will always be remembered.
