Olin Ladwig

Olin Albert Ladwig Jr., 92 of Washington, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital with his family at his side.

Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. James Cluney and Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the Cambria Cemetery in Cambria, Wisconsin. Visitation will begin at Noon Tuesday at the Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6:30-8:00 PM in the evening. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials contributions may be made to Gideon’s International or the Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church.

Olin was born July 5, 1914 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Olin Albert Sr. and Nellie Helen (Mallory) Ladwig. He graduated from West Allis High School and was united in marriage to Norma E. Winkie, June 10, 1939 in Milwaukee.

He was a member of the Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church, Gideon’s International and a former member of the Optimist Club. Olin was employed as an auditor and bookkeeper for the Mobil Oil Co. for 42 years in Milwaukee and La Crosse WI, moving to Washington in 1984. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and listening to music. Olin’s Faith was very important in his life.

Survivors include his wife Norma of Washington; sons, Laurence Ladwig and wife Judy of Knoxville, IA, Thomas Ladwig and wife Mary of Galesville, WI, Olin Ladwig III and wife Sue of Capron, IL and Peter Ladwig and wife Barbara of Arbor Vitae, WI; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Alberta Merritt.
