A celebration of life for Norval K. Hart, 90, of Kalona, will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the Shiloh Church in Kalona with Pastor Craig Haworth officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, from 5 – 7 PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. A general memorial fund has been established. Norval died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Norval K. Hart was born July 27, 1923 in Corydon, Iowa the son of J. Roy and Ida Mae Hart. He graduated from Corydon High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry from Iowa State University and his Master's in Agriculture from Pullman Washington State University. On August 5, 1975 he was united in marriage to Lidvil Fritz at the Living Word Church in Washington, Iowa. Norval enjoyed traveling, biking and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include his wife Lidvil of Kalona, ten children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceding Norval in death were his parents, one brother, Gene Hart and one sister, Helen Snyder.
