A Celebration of Life for Neal N. Roth 86, of Wayland will be held Friday, September 10, 2010 at 10:30AM at the Victory Fellowship Church in Brighton with Pastor Don Lowe officiating. A private graveside service will be held prior to the funeral. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 9 from noon until 8PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington where the family will greet friends from 6-8PM.
A memorial fund has been established for the Victory Fellowship Church. Neal Roth died Monday, September 06, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Neal N. Roth was born July 7, 1924 in Milford, NE the son of Nicholas and Barbara Ellen (Miller) Roth. He accepted Jesus as his savior and was baptized at the age of 14 and shortly thereafter moved to Iowa. He was united in marriage to Martha Wenger in Wayland on September 17, 1944. Neal was a farmer and loved the land and tending to the soil. He was a member of the Victory Fellowship Church and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Neal also enjoyed visiting people, taking drives, and going to farm and livestock auctions.
Survivors include his wife Martha of Wayland, five children and spouses, Bonnie (Al) Yoder of Iowa City, Ron (Char) Roth of LaGrange, IN, Carla (Don) Lowe of Brighton, Tom (Marge) Roth of Mt. Pleasant, Mark (Donna) Roth of Wayland, 14 grandchildren and spouses, Chris (Susan) Yoder, Ben (Christine) Yoder, Troy (Jennifer) Roth, Shannon (Stephanie) Roth, Travis (Kristy) Roth, Todd (Kristy) Lowe, Ryan (Mara) Lowe, Jeremy (Pam) Lowe, Katie (Cory) Steele, Megan Roth, Renea (Neil) Reichenbach, Sarah (Josh) Shank, Traci Roth, Isaac (Denise) Roth, 15 great grandchildren, one brother, Owen Roth of Washington, two sisters, Kathryn (Gerald) Nebel of Wayland and Lois (Herb) Swan of Wayland.
Preceding Neal in death were his parents, one sister, Doris Graber, one sister in law, Betty Roth and one brother in law, Raymond Graber.
