Mildred Arlene McKune, 92 of Wayland, died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will follow at the Center Cemetery east of Wayland. Visitation will begin at Noon Friday at the Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5-7:00 PM. Memorials in the name of Mildred McKune may be directed to the Wayland 1st Responders.
Mildred was born April 9, 1927 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of Earl and Geneva (Libe) Chorpening. She was united in marriage to Harry McKune April 5, 1944 at the Christian Tabernacle in Washington.
She attended Faith Christian Outreach in Mt. Pleasant.
She enjoyed cross stitch, crocheting, reading her bible, church, family and being a farm wife.
Survivors include her son Gary (Angie) McKune of Cabool, Mo; grandchildren Todd, Ted and Natasha; great grandchildren, Lailah, Jesse, Luke and Christan: brother Charles Chorpening of Lauri, MO sister Ruth Burdick of Mesa, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry in 2006 and sister Esther.
