A celebration of life for Milan Nayadley, 90, of West Chester, will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with Pastors Joseph Brown and Dan Woodward officiating. Burial will follow at the Wellman Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, from 11 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established for the West Chester 1st Responders. Milan Nayadley died Monday, July 18, 2016 at Parkview Manor in Wellman.
Milan Nayadley was born July 12, 1926 near Kalona, IA., the son of Fred and Emily (Lamoraux) Nayadley. He attended Maple Grove rural school. On August 15, 1952 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Dougherty in Sigourney, Iowa. Milan worked at various places, including the railroad, the Wellman Creamery, Amana, the VA Hospital and the University of Iowa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and music.
Survivors include his wife Jeanette of West Chester, one son Jeff Nayadley of West Chester, one sister Donna Kelley of Wellman, a brother-in-law, Bill (Rose) Dougherty of Cedar Rapids, three nephews: Randy and Ronnie Kelley of Wellman, David Dougherty of Cedar Rapids, and two nieces: Carol Miller of Tonopah, AZ., and Colleen Freese of Anamosa, IA.
Preceding Milan in death were his parents, one brother Milburn Nayadley and a brother-in-law, Cecil Kelley.
