Mary Hershberger

Funeral services for Mary (Mast) Hershberger are Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Leslie Miller home, 2851   560 ^th St, Kalona.  Burial will be in the East Union Cemetery, rural Kalona.

Visitation is Friday, April 8 at the CAM building located on the Washington, Johnson County Line Road and Saturday, April 9 at the Leslie Miller home.

Mary Hershberger, 86, died Apr8l 5, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchingson, KS.

She was born March 6, 1925, in Kokomo, Indians, the daughter of Mennon and Katie Schlabach Mast.  She lived most of her life in Kalona, Iowa, moving to Hutchinson in December of 2010.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Amish Church, Kalona, Iowa.

She married Thomas Wesley Yoder on October 2, 1947 he passed away on Feb. 7, 1948.  She then married Mark Hershberger on June 19, 1949, in Kalona:  he survives.  Other survivors include:  sons, Firman (Sovilla) of Kalona, Jacob (Esther) of Chouteau, OK; Daniel (Verna) of Hutchinson, KS and Joseph of Brighton; and daughters, Miriam Hershberger of Hutchinson, KS, Susan (Lavern) Yoder of Hicksville, OH; Rosella (Erik) Gottfred of Pottsville, PA, Elizabeth (Harley JR) Beachy of Hutchinson, KS; and Esther (Robert) Miller Coalgate4, OK; 40 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by 4 grandchildren; Juanita Hershberger, Verton Hershberger, Virgil Hershberger, Keith Hershberger, three brothers, David, Andrew, Abraham Mast and three sisters, Susanna Mast, Sarah Miller and Esther Mast.
