Funeral services for Mary L. (Miller) Glick, 85, of Kalona, will be held Saturday, January 1, 2022, at 9:30 AM at Fairview Mennonite Church, 2605 540th St, SW, Kalona, with Leslie Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the South Gingerich Cemetery at 1016 Locust Avenue, Kalona. The family will greet friends on Friday, December 31, 2021, from 1 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at Fairview Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to Christian Aid Ministry. Mary Glick died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at her home following a brief battle with cancer. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mary Louise (Miller) Glick was born February 23, 1936, in Centerville, MI, the daughter of Crist and Iva (Hochstedler) Miller. She attended rural schools to the 8th grade. On March 1, 1962, she was united in marriage to Enos Glick in Bowling Green, MO. Mary was a member of the Kalona Community Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing, singing, being with her family and volunteering at Christian Aid Ministry.
Survivors include eight children: Ezra Glick (Carrie Miller) of Kalona, Lavern (Dianne) Glick of Coralville, Aaron Glick of Kalona, Delilah (Brad) Cahoon of Iowa City, Malinda (Allyn) Gronewold of North Liberty, Ada Glick of Kalona, John (Nichole) Glick of Solon and Iva (Levi) Bontrager of Kalona; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and eight siblings: Wilma, Roman, Vera, Clara, Delilah, Albert, Emma Sue and Eldon.
Preceding Mary in death were her parents, her husband Enos in 2007, three brothers: Monroe, Ray, and Lonnie and two sisters: Viola and Leona.
