Mary Louise Escher, 65 of Washington, died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at the Washington Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 9, 2005 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond with the Rev. Fr. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with family present from 6-7:30 P.M. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 Sunday evening at the funeral home. A memorial in the name of Mary Louise Escher has been established.
Mary Lou was born June 30, 1939 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of Paul Leo and Marie Fransis (Greaser) Escher. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School.
She was a faithful member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond. Mary Lou worked at a local dry cleaning business for over thirty-five years as a cashier and seamstress.
She enjoyed crafts, sewing, cooking, baking and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include brothers, Warren Escher and wife Catherine, Mark Escher and wife Karen and Roger Escher and wife Mary Jo, all of Washington; sister Beulah Embree of Washington and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Phyllis.
