Celebration of Life : Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 10:30 AM East Union Mennonite Church 5615 Gabel Ave. SW, Kalona, IA 52247 Visitation: Sunday, Feb. 14 3:00-7:00 PM at Peterseim Funeral Home, Kalona Interment: East Union Cemetery Memorial Fund: East Union Mennonite Church Martin Dean Boller, age 85 was born February 21, 1924 in rural Kalona, Iowa the son of Jason and Emma (Miller) Boller. He attended Prairie Dale rural school. On January 28, 1945 he was united in marriage to Leona Gingerich in Leona's rural Kalona home. He farmed in rural Johnson County and was a member of the East Union Mennonite Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family, fishing, going to tractor pulls and county fairs, and bluegrass and gospel song festivals. He is survived by his wife Leona of Kalona, three children, James and wife Ruth Boller of Kalona, Arnold Boller of Cedar Falls, Emma Lou and husband Bo Miller of Marion, Iowa, five grandsons, Jeff Boller, Jason Boller, Joshua Yoder, Thomas Boller, Tyler Miller and seven granddaughters, Tina Dachtler, Lori Gerber, Amy Graber, Sharon Scott, Lisa Kanagy, Kim Blauvelt, Cindy Bontrager and 29 great grandchildren. Preceding Martin in death were his parents and two sisters, Wilma Kauffman and Helen Boller. A memorial fund has been established for the Pleasantview Home. Martin's family is very appreciative of all the many kindnesses extended to them during Martin's declining time and this time of their sorrow.
