Marjory Rich, 88, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, November 18, 2002 at the Parkview Manor in Mount Pleasant, Iowa following declining health.
Funeral Services have been set for 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 22, 2002 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Dr. Edward Peterson officiating. burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon till 8:00 P.M. Thursday and the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to Service on Friday. A memorial in the name of Marjory Rich has been established to the Pleasant Manor Care Center.
She was born November 26, 1913 near Salem, Iowa the daughter of Jesse and Maud (Pickard) Frary. On February 23, 1935 she was united in marriage to William Edward Rich, who preceded her in death March 7, 1996.
Marjory was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant and was active in Circles at the Church.
She graduated from Salem High School and received her teachers certificate. She taught country school early in life and later helped her husband farm in several communities.
Survivors include her son jack and wife Marlys of Johnston, Iowa, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
