Marjorie L. Noble, 100 of Washington, died Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.

 

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 16, 2024, at New Boston Cemetery in New Boston, IL with Pastor Andrew Zuehlke officiating.  Beatty-Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials may be designated to the Washington Public Library.

 

Marjorie was born April 8, 1924 in Clarksville, IA the daughter of Arthur and Evelyn (Berbohm) Wygle. She attended the Hamilton School of Commerce at Mason City, IA. She took a Civil Service job at Washington DC for two years and then joined the Woman Army Corp from 1944-1946 and spent fourteen months with the Air Transport Command in the European theater during WWII. Following her service, she graduated from Logan Chiropractic College and was united in marriage to Kenneth Noble on August 1, 1951.

 

Survivors include her son William Noble daughter Lou Ann Hayford, both of Bloomington/Normal, IL; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, February 10, 2015, siblings Harvey, Neil and Paul and an infant daughter.
