Marion E. Alliman, 93 of Wayland, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Great River Hospice House in Burlington, Iowa.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00 PM Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Wayland Mennonite Church with Pastor Kelly Slagel and Pastor Tamara Gill officiating. Burial will follow at the North Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Wayland Mennonite Church with family present from 5-7:00 PM. Beatty Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials may be designated to the Parkview Home in Wayland or the Wayland Mennonite Church.
Marion was born January 13, 1921 in Donaldson, MN the daughter of John and Myrtle (Wells) Krieger. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and was united in marriage to Willis Alliman on October 12, 1941 in Kirksville, MO.
Marion was a homemaker and worked at WACO schools cafeteria for 26 years. She was a member of the Wayland Mennonite Church and the Friendly Helpers Sunday School Class. She enjoyed volunteering at the Parkview Home and Crowded Closet.
Survivors include children Patricia (Ron) Michel of Pandora, OH, Stephen (Marian) Alliman of Wayland, IA, Joseph (Brenda) Alliman of Wayland, IA, Susan (Stephen) Baumgartner of Convoy, OH, Kathy (Patrick) Johnson of Muscatine, IA, Mark (Brenda) Alliman of McComb, OH and Andrea (James) Taylor of Washington, IA; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willis, granddaughter Jodi Francis, four brothers, Milton, Everett, Russell and Raymond; sister Loretta McVey.
