Marcella “Saddy” Ensminger, 82 of Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Jeffrey Mc Pheron officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Open visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday with the family present one hour prior to the service. A memorial in the name of Marcella Ensminger has been established at the Funeral Home.
Marcella was born March 8, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of William P. and Mildred Marie (Hauf) Anderson. She was united in marriage to Roy Ensminger December 13, 1939 at Kahoka, Missouri.
She farmed with her husband until moving into town in 1968. She attended the Congregational-Universalist Church where she taught Sunday school and was also bookkeeper. Marcella enjoyed sewing and ceramics.
Survivors include nephew Rick Anderson of Mt. Pleasant that she raised as a son; two brothers Carl Anderson of Farmington and Richard Anderson of Mt. Pleasant and sister Marilyn Phillips of Colorado Springs, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy and sister Marie Ensminger.
