Mabel M. Lane, 96 of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at the Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 15, 2003 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Charles Tweed officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will begin from 9:00 A.M. till 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Beatty Funeral Home. There will be no family visitation. Memorial contributions may be designated to the Congregational Universalist Church.
Mabel was born January 1, 1907 in Wayland, Iowa the daughter of Chris and Mary (Richenberger) Rich. On December 25, 1929 she was united in marriage to Floyd Lane in Mt. Pleasant.
She was a member of the Congregational Universalist Church. Mabel was a homemaker and also worked at Shafer Pen in Mt. Pleasant for many years.
Survivors include her brother, Franklin Rich of Des Moines and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd January 2, 1982, two brothers, William and Clarence Rich and two sisters, Helen Davis and Sylvia Echternacht.
