Mabel K. Botrager, 89, Keokuk, IA formally of the Wayland area, died Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at the Great River Medical Klein Center in Burlington after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at Eicher Mennonite Cemetery with Dr. Richard Wing officiating. Memorials may be designated to the United Presbyterian Church of Keokuk. Beatty Funeral Home of Wayland is assisting the family.
Mabel was born March 12, 1913 in Olds, IA the daughter Armand and Mary (Christner) Gisser. She was united in marriage to Monroe Bontrager on September 4, 1938 in Noble, IA.
Survivors include one son Edward Bontrager and wife Cheryl of Burnsville, MN; two daughters, Shirley Evens Wing and husband Richard of Columbus, OH and Mary Ellen Blacksmith and husband Larry of Burlington, IA; five grandchildren, Mark Bontrager and wife Candace, Stephanie Evans, Debra Evans, Kimberly Evans and Jill Blacksmith.
She was precede in death by her parents, husband Monroe, February, 27, 1996, one brother Raymond Gisser, sister Ellen Binder and granddaughter Michelle Blacksmith.
