Lydia "Inez" Yoder

Funeral servcies for Lydia "Inez" Yoder, 82, of Kalona, will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Caleb Yoder residence, 1209 Larch Avenue, Kalona, at 9:30 AM. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 10 AM until 7 PM at the Caleb Yoder residence.

Lydia “Inez” (Kauffman) Yoder born March 17, 1941 Kalona, Iowa. daughter of Abe and Alta (Otto) Kauffman, Inez was united in marriage to Vernon Yoder on August 17, 1967.

Inez was a faithful member of the Old Order Amish church until her death. Inez died Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 10:15 AM following a brief illness at the age of 82 years 9 months 14 days. She is remembered for her generous hospitality.

She is survived by her husband Vernon; 7 children, Chester (Rosanna) of Kalona, Lester (Elizabeth) of Sugarcreek, Ohio, Leonard (Sherlyn) of Ava, IL, Rachel (Ivan) Miller of Kalona, Norman (Dena) of Kalona, Caleb (Rosina) of Kalona, and Regina of Crofton, KY; and 32 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Sanford Lynn, a grandson, Sanford Emory, her parents, a brother, Cephas, a sister, Rhoda, and a sister-in-law, Katie Kauffman.
