Lulu Elizabeth Roth, 96 of Wayland, died Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Parkview Home in Wayland following declining health.
Funeral Services have been set for 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2005 at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church with Pastor Nathan Luitjens officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Saturday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church with family receiving friends from 4-6:00. Beatty Funeral Home of Wayland is assisting with arrangements. Memorials in the name of Lulu may be designated to Crooked Creek Christian Camp or the Parkview Home expansion project.
Lulu was born February 8, 1909 near Wayland, IA the daughter of Menno and Mary (Oswald) Freyenberger. She graduated from High School and was united in marriage to Lloyd Ira Roth, December 17, 1931.
Mrs. Roth was a lifelong member of the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and working outdoors.
Survivors include one son Donald G. Roth and wife Karen of Wayland, six grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, son Wesley, two brothers, Ezra Freyenberger and Edwin Freyenberger, two sisters, Alta Cunningham and Ada Wyse.
