A celebration of life for Louise K. “Louie” Wagg, 70, of Washington will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM to service time on Saturday. Louise Wagg died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospital. A general memorial fund has been established.
Louise Kay Wagg was born August 21, 1940 in Winfield, Iowa the daughter of L. Virgil and Dora (Hite) Stockman. She graduated from Winfield Mt. Union High School. She was married to Jack L. Wagg, the couple later divorced. Louise worked as a machinist at Fansteel in Washington for 10 years. She enjoyed square dancing, reading, flowers, her dogs, and going out to eat.
Survivors include four children, Jack “Lee” Wagg of Des Moines, Iowa, Madelon Ruble of Ames, Iowa, Scott Wagg of Washington, Iowa, Sheila (Tod) Fischer of Morning Sun, Iowa, five grandchildren, Mandy Wagg, Stacey Elliott, Allison Wagg, Kory Fischer, Tyler Fischer, one great granddaughter, Emma Jean Dooley, one brother, Richard (Sandi) Stockman of Murphy, North Carolina, two sisters, Eileen (Vivan) Jennings of Columbus Jct., Iowa, and Norma (Gary) Brunk of Montrose, Iowa.
Preceding Louise in death were her parents, two sisters, Maxine Adye and Wanda Tate, and three brothers, Virgil, Delbert and Larry Stockman.
