Lloyd Edward Hinkle, 75 of rural Trenton, died Wednesday, December 08, 2004 at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center in New London.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 11, 2004 at the Trenton Missionary Church with Rev. Stephen Ortmann, Rev. Larry Secor, Rev. Gary Hinkle and Pastor Don Johanson officiating. Burial will be in the Green Mound Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Friday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family present from 6-8:00. Memorials in the name of Lloyd Hinkle may be designated to the Trenton Missionary Church or Timber Lake’s Camp near Ottawa, KS which is the Midwest District Missionary Church Camp.

Lloyd was born March 28, 1929 near Brighton, Ia the son of Clarence and Nina (Egli) Hinkle. He attended school in Henry County. On July 24, 1949 he was united in marriage to Imogene Moore at her parent’s home in Lockridge. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this year.
Lloyd worked at J.I. Case in Burlington, creameries in Mt. Pleasant and Brighton, and Messer Oil Co. in Washington for 18 years. The last years were spent doing the work he enjoyed the most- farming. He became a Christian early in life and lived it dedicated to God, Church and family. He was a life long member of the Trenton Missionary Church where he served as Deacon. He also served on the Midwest District Missionary Church Camp Board. He served in the National Guard form 1948-1952.
Survivors include his wife Imogene of Trenton, two sons, Dennis Hinkle and wife Monica of Burlington and Donald Hinkle and wife Kim of Des Moines; brother John Hinkle and wife Dorothy of Wayland; five grandchildren, Shannon, Josh, Shelly, Cally and Brandon, three step-grandchildren Kyle, Tim and Ryan; five nephews, Gary, Steve and Duane Hinkle and Larry and Rodney Reighard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold and wife Ellen, sister Mary Reighard and husband Gene
