Leslie Constance Holmes

Leslie, Constance, Holmes, was born Nov. 18th, 1952, in Ontario Canada. Spending some of her childhood in England attending an all-girls school, she would excel in her academics and eventually graduate from Vincent Massey High School, in Windsor Ontario, where she would first lay her eyes upon the future father of her children, Richard S. Tyler, an upperclassman at Massey.  After obtaining her nursing degree, her and Richard moved to Iowa for Richard’s career at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, as an Audiologist.  Richard and Leslie would have two children, Angela and Jeffrey, who spent most of their childhoods with their parents in West Branch, Iowa.  

After visiting some of Saint Mother Theresa of Calcutta’s nuns in poverty-stricken Cali, Columbia in the 90’s, Leslie returned to the United States deeply moved by the nuns’ inner joy amidst some of the world's most adverse conditions.  Her children would eventually be confirmed in the Catholic Church along with her before her death on April 30, 2023.
