A celebration of life for Leroy M. Brenneman, 84 of Kalona will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at 3:00PM at the Full Gospel Revival Center in Kalona, with Pastor Ron Breese officiating. A private burial of the cremains will be held prior to the service. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 21 st from 6 a�" 8 PM at the Full Gospel Revival Center. A memorial fund has been established for Water For Life. Leroy Brenneman went peacefully and gracefully to be with his Lord, Savior and Father on Sunday, June 17, 2012, Father's Day, at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona following a lingering illness.
Leroy M. Brenneman was born December 18, 1927 in Stuttgard, Arkansas, the son of Manas and Lydia (Miller) Brenneman. He was united in marriage to Vilma Mae Bachman on June 6, 1948. Vilma Mae preceded Leroy in death on March 13, 1997, and on October 11, 1997 he was united in marriage to Betty Lou Jones. Leroy was a member of The Lighthouse Church in Brooklyn where he was involved in the music ministry, later he joined the Full Gospel Revival Center in Kalona. Serving the Lord was an important part of Leroy's life. He also enjoyed music, model airplanes, and his Indian motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife Betty Lou of Kalona, four children, Francis Brenneman of Wellman, Faye and husband David Slaubaugh of Wellman, Lynn and wife Ruth Brenneman of Bentonville, Arkansas, Kevin Brenneman of Newton, Kansas, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, seven step children, Gerry LoAnne Deleon of Washington State, Stephen and wife Patty Jones of Van Wert, OH, Marcie McFeeley of Kalona, Douglas Jones of Kalona, James and wife Sandy Jones of Manson, Iowa, Michael and wife Marcie Jones of Little Mountain, South Carolina, Mark and wife Angelika Jones of Novato, California, 9 step grandchildren, 22 step great grandchildren, one sister, Ruth Hershberger of Wellman, two sisters in law, Louise Brenneman and Idella Brenneman of Kalona, and one brother in law, Paul W. Miller of Wellman.
Preceding Leroy in death was his wife Vilma Mae, two great grandchildren, Jacob and Caden Berry, a step son in law, Michael McFeeley, six brothers, Norman, Ezra, Edwin, Dale, Floyd and Robert Brenneman, three sisters, Leta Miller, Fannie Miller, Amanda Nafzinger and one stillborn sister.
Services for Leroy M. Brenneman, 84 of Kalona are pending at the Peterseim Funeral Home.
