Lenore Miller

March 28, 1911 — November 23, 2006

Lenore Miller, 95 of Wayland, died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital in Washington.

Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 AM Monday, November 27, 2006 at the Independent Bible Church in Wayland with Pastor Robert Wolf officiating. Burial will be in the North Hill Cemetery north of Wayland. Visitation will be from Noon till 6:00 PM Sunday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington where family will receive friends from 3-5:00 PM in the afternoon. Memorials in the name of Lenore Miller may be designated to the Independent Bible Church or the Parkview Home in Wayland.

Lenore was born March 28, 1911 near Wayland, Iowa the daughter of Amasa and Katie (Reschly) Miller. She was united in marriage to Oscar Miller November 29, 1934 at her parent’s home.

She was a faithful member of the Independent Bible Church in Wayland. Lenore and her husband lived in the Noble area most of there life. Following his death she moved to Wayland in 1974 and the last few years at the Parkview Home. She enjoyed quilting, reading, flowers, cooking and canning and entertaining Missionaries.

Survivors include her sons Jim Miller and wife Dorothy of Brighton, IA and Frank Miller and wife Martha of Orlando, FL; daughter Mary Long and husband Richard of Brighton; brother Orval Miller and wife Alberta of Wayland; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1973; daughter Jane Barr; brothers, Paul, Orie, Mahlon and Melvin; sisters Leona Leichty, Susan Troyer, Vera Schlatter and Ruth Greiser.
